The Irish Independent Newspaper names McIlroy Guitars as one of the
Top 10 companies in Ireland based on the quality and kudos of their
products. The other companies cited included RyanAir and Jameson
Whiskey . “they make Bentley’s look like Nissan Micra’s” was one quote.

500th McIlroy
On 15th August 2008 Dermot and his small team of luthiers celebrated
the completion of their 500th guitar with a very special “All Koa”
model. The AS60 custom with Koa back and sides, figured Koa top,
abalone soundboard inlay and Celtic knot fingerboard inlay was
commissioned by Dutch shop “The Fellowship of Acoustics” to launch
the start of dealership in McIlroy Guitars. Read the full article.

10th Birthday. Yes McIlroy Guitars celebrated their 10th anniversary on 6th March 2010.
To acknowledge this we are making a series of Special Anniversary Edition guitars called the A70 SAE
(special anniversary edition). Only 10 will ever be made. They have Jacaranda Rosewood back and sides
and choice of special Italian (Alpine), Sitka, Adirondack or Cedar tops along with custom inlays specially
designed for this model.
3rd International McIlroy guitar gathering is a great sucess in Bllycastle,
N. Ireland.
